Jefferson County Clerk of Courts releases May report

STEUBENVILLE ­– Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for May.

The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $694,124, with $29,551 going to the county and $664,573 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $2,052 and watercraft fees $665.14. Total fees and taxes were $709,252, with $32,268 going to the county and $676,984 to the state.

For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 27; Ohio Department of Taxation, 101; certificate of judgment, 30; civil, 15; domestic, 12; criminal, 13; and court of appeals, 2. Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $7,364.

The Rayland title office processed 771 titles with license plate revenue of $453. Also processed were 11 passports with revenue of $385.

The courthouse title office processed 2 passports with revenue of $70; recorded license plate revenue of $1,102; and saw a total of $33,265 in total auto title fees paid. The total revenue paid into the county was $34,820, with county total titles of 2,170.
