WINTERSVILLE — Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, home care services with IC Care have seen a spike in demand and now the company wants to celebrate the hard work of all Ohio Valley state-tested nurse’s aides, certified nurse’s aides, and home health aides.

While it is still not wise for large groups to come together due to the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus, organizations need to get creative with their event planning. That is why IC Care has decided to host a free drive-in movie night, “Stronger Together – A night of Celebration,” at the Winter Drive-In located in Wintersville.

The event will take place Sunday and will provide attendees with free food, drinks, giveaways, a movie, and a chance to win prizes.

“We chose to do this because our Ohio Valley nurse’s aides are usually the unsung heroes in health care,” Tate Blanchard, director of marketing and community outreach with IC Care, said. “STNAs, CNAs and HHAs are usually the individuals that make sure a patient’s personal care needs are being met, yet we don’t give them the credit they are due often enough.”

Blanchard added the event is free and open to anyone who is an STNA, CNA or HHA. In order to attend the event, those individuals need to call IC Care and reserve their spot. IC Care will pay for their admission to the movie, provide them with food and drinks, as well as provide them with event favors. Those who attend will also have the opportunity to be entered into three drawings for Visa gift cards. Guests of IC Care may also bring guests of their own, but those individuals will be responsible for paying for their own admission to the movie and for any food and drinks they would like.

To reserve a spot, interested STNAs, CNAs or HHAs must call 304-905-8160 option 1 to register for the event no later than 5 p.m. Thursday.
