ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Shad Boccella, 24, was arrested Monday and is being held in Belmont County Jail on a charge of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a felony of the fourth degree, after reportedly leading multiple agencies in a pursuit that apparently began in Pittsburgh.

The Belmont County sheriff’s office said the highway patrol was the agency chiefly involved in any operation.

“We assisted, but the state patrol took that over,” Chief Deputy James Zusack said. “It started in Pittsburgh … and ended up here.”

The patrol made no statement but referred further questions to the Pittsburgh Police Department. A spokesperson could not be reached Monday for comment.
