The Jefferson County clerk of courts releases report for August

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for August.

The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $750,588, with $34,488 going to the county and $716,100 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $4,693 and watercraft fees $898. Total fees and taxes were $780,178, with $40,079 going to the county and $740,099 to the state.

For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 17; Ohio Department of Taxation, 83; certificate of judgment, 48; civil, 20; domestic, 23; criminal, 25; and court of appeals, two. Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $11,654.

The Rayland title office processed 645 titles with license plate revenue of $805. Also processed were 11 passports with revenue of $385.

The courthouse title office processed 14 passports with revenue of $490; recorded license plate revenue of $2,969; and saw a total of $40,005 in total auto title fees paid. The total revenue paid into the county was $43,779, with county total titles of 2,696.
