St. Clairsville Mayor Kathryn Thalman presents a proclamation in honor of Arbor Day in Central Park, standing beside a recently transplanted ornamental Japanese Maple tree, symbolizing both the disruption brought by the COVID-19 pandemic and local resilience. The tree was moved due to renovations outside the window of the utilities office. St. Clairsville continues to be designated a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. Arbor Day activities in April were postponed by the pandemic.
