Woman injured in Friday morning crash
MORRISTOWN — A local woman is hospitalized in serious condition after her vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer early Friday.
According to Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. William Howard, Heather Berry, 37, of St. Clairsville was traveling north on Ohio 149 near the Pilot gas station around 6:30 a.m. Howard said her 2009 Chevrolet Traverse collided with the rear of a semi-truck that apparently was exiting the Pilot station.
Berry was transported to a hospital for treatment of serious injuries as a result of the crash.
The other driver, Teodor Dimitrov of Cary, Illinois, was not injured. He was driving a tractor-trailer owned by Tiger Logistics.
Howard said the accident remained under investigation late Friday and that no citations had been issued at that time.
