ST. CLAIRSVILLE — An Easter Craft and Vendor Event is set to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 20 at the Belmont County Fairgrounds’ Wise Building.

The event will feature 40 different vendors selling a variety of goods, wares and crafts. The vendors will be set up inside and outside of the facility. There is no entry fee, said Mark Matthias, event organizer.

Food vendors also will be available for people to purchase lunch and beverages. Social distancing and masks will be required because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

“This is the first year for this event. There will be six throughout the year at the Belmont County Fairgrounds,” Matthias said.

“There are some very unique crafters in this. And also direct sales reps. … It’s exciting knowing that the country, Ohio and Belmont County is opening back up. It has been a hard past year for many crafters and the shoppers also.”

The Easter Bunny is expected to make his rounds between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. There will be face painting, a chance auction and a 50-50 raffle.

“We will have homemade soy candles, lots of wood products, wreaths and arrangements, crochet and embroidered crafts and lots more. … If you are looking for gifts or something for yourself this is the place to be. All our crafters/vendors take great pride in their products. These same ones usually work together at events, and we are all like family to each other. It is one of the first events starting out with a great year we all hope,” he said.
