WORK IS underway to demolish a blighted downtown Bellaire building that has been caving in and has become a hazard to neighboring structures and the public. The Belmont Street building is being taken down at the owner’s expense, according to village officials. A man could be seen atop the structure Wednesday, working in the rain to dismantle portions of the roof.
