MWCD names chief counsel

NEW PHILADELPHIA, Ohio — Jonathan Mizer was named chief counsel for the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District.

Appointed by the MWCD Board of Directors in November, Mizer previously served as associate counsel for the district since May 2018. Prior to joining the MWCD, Mizer worked as a partnering attorney with the law firm Kyler, Pringle, Lundholm and Durmann L.P.A. in New Philadelphia. His areas of expertise include political subdivision law, real estate, contracts and litigation.

Mizer holds a bachelor of arts degree in pre-law from Cedarville University and earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Akron School of Law.

He was a member of the Leadership Tuscarawas Class of 2009 and enjoys volunteering for free legal clinics sponsored by Southeastern Ohio Legal Services and the Tuscarawas Bar Association.
