BETHESDA — On Monday, sheriff’s deputies were called to an Oak Street residence for a wellness check on Christopher Bowman, 47, who was staying there. Bowman reportedly attempted to flee and was arrested for having weapons under disability and failure to register as a sex offender. He is being held in jail on a bond of $12,500.

Having weapons under disability is a charge when a defendant is not permitted to possess weapons for some reason, such as a criminal conviction.
