Bless Your Heart Folk Art selling home decor, gifts for 10 years
BARNESVILLE — For nearly 10 years, Bless Your Heart Folk Art has offered its patrons a wide variety of home decor and gifts in a friendly and inviting atmosphere, owner Margie McMahon said.
The expansive shop, located in downtown Barnesville, sells country and primitive items, along with candles and diffusers, curtains, wallpaper, quilts, wooden signs, furniture, garlands, calendars, cards, arts and crafts, and much more.
“We are always receiving new items daily. Most recently it was a large order of farmhouse and primitive-style furniture,” she said.
“Our most popular items seem to be candles, melts and furniture.”
The shop is approaching its 10th anniversary, which will be Aug. 1 this year.
She attributes the store’s success to its “relaxed and friendly atmosphere.”
“Customers feel like friends,” she said.
“Our polite and dedicated staff keep the store looking great and are always hard working and helpful to our customers.”
McMahon said it’s an exciting time at the shop with the decade anniversary coming up soon.
“We are proud and excited to celebrate. We wouldn’t be here without our wonderful customers, especially after the year we’ve all just experienced,” she said, referring to the recent pandemic.
Early on during the COVID-19 pandemic, the state of Ohio through health orders mandated that only certain types of businesses were essential, leaving many with no choice but to close their doors temporarily.
Bless Your Heart Folk Art is located downtown at 157 E. Main St., Barnesville.
