Two drug arrests in Morristown traffic stop

St. CLAIRSVILLE — On Monday, the Belmont County Criminal Interdiction Unit made a routine traffic stop that ended in two arrests and the seizure of drugs and money. According to a release from the sheriff’s office, multiple bags of drugs and drug paraphernalia were found during the stop in the Morristown area.

Denard Nelson, 42, of Columbus was arrested and charged with two counts of felony possession of drugs and two counts of felony trafficking and possession of drug paraphernalia. He is being held on a bond of $25,250.

Carolyn Pierce, 30, of Barnesville was also arrested on felony possession of drugs and of drug paraphernalia. She is being held on a $3,250 bond.
