ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Shoppers can find just about everything from clothing and artwork to furniture and coffee inside Three Labs Salvage shop in St. Clairsville.
The store is known for its vintage feel and sells unique items from high end to affordable. Lynn Jeffries, who co-owns Three Labs Salvage with her fiancee Brad Breisch, said they wanted to have a store that catered to everyone.
“We have quite a variety in our store. … We’ve tried to adapt to the community’s needs. A lot of times we’ll have people come in and ask for certain items. For example we had someone come in to ask if we sold paint. I thought to myself, ‘Why don’t we sell paint?'” she said, adding that the store now features a paint line.
The store sells jewelry, artwork produced by local artisans, clothing, custom furniture, handbags, candles and now paint. Jeffries said they recently began carrying the complete line of Dixie Belle Paints, a high quality mineral furniture paint for multiple surfaces.
Jeffries said they also do a lot of custom orders for furniture and floor cloths.
In September, the shop partnered with Flatiron Coffee Co. which now resides inside the establishment. The coffee shop moved from its previous location in Wheeling. Jeffries said it has been a “wonderful” and welcome addition to the store. Nicole Simmons, one of the co-owners of the coffee company, said it has been a great partnership.
The coffee shop features a variety of coffee, lattes, cold brews, lemonade and tea. Simmons said they have an extended menu and now feature their own homemade syrups. With the exception of Starbucks, she said they are the only coffee shop currently in the city.
Although they are located in the same building, the two shops carry different hours. Three Labs is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at 142 W. Main St. Flatiron Coffee Co. is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday, and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday-Saturday. Both businesses plan to extend hours of operation during the holiday season. An open house event is planned for November.
