FLAG FLOORS of Barnesville can now also take care of your kitchen cabinet and countertop needs.

BARNESVILLE — For more than 30 years, Flag Floors of Barnesville has been helping residents of the village and beyond with all their new flooring and carpet needs.

In addition to carpet, Flag Floors also installs hardwood flooring, vinyl and ceramic tile.

Amy Kemp, who co-owns Flag Floors with her husband Doug Kemp, said they purchased the business from its previous owners in 2013.

The company now has 12 employees and also uses two trusted subcontractors for the window and kitchen cabinet and countertop portions of its business. Those looking for new cabinets to match their new flooring can also depend on Flag Floors to do the job.

“The cabinets are solid wood and Amish custom made,” Kemp said. “They are not made of laminate or wood fillers.”

Kemp said people can also get new windows from Flag Floors. There are a variety of window styles and prices to choose from, depending on one’s budget or needs.

Kemp noted the company’s longtime and experienced employees are at the heart of the business.

“When we bought the business in 2013, most of the employees with the old Flag moved over with us. We retained a majority of the employees here,” she said. “We continue to move forward and continue to grow because the employees here have been with us for that long. … We couldn’t do this without them or the loyal customers who continue to come back to us for their flooring needs.”

While the flooring jobs are done by their in-house staff, she noted that the window and cabinet subcontractors are also people they trust to do the job right.

She added that Flag Floors also sells Liberty Safes.

“People who come here can choose more for their home than just flooring,” she said.

After one’s new floor is installed, Flag Floors also offers a variety of products to help keep it looking nice and new including hardwood floor cleaners, stone and tile cleaners, no-wax floor cleaners, strippers and floor protectors, carpet cleaner, and polishes. They also sell Urine Off Multi-Pet by the gallon for those who live with pets.

Those in need of equipment to use for their DIY flooring jobs can rent a variety of helpful items at Flag Floors. Machines available for rent per day include: air compressor, air sled, appliance dolly, carpet trimmer, ceramic cutters, eddy machine, electric stapler, floor stripper, grinder, hardwood sander, power nailer, knee knicker, sander/buffer, seam iron, underlayment stapler, underlayment stapler with compressor and a VCT cutter.
