Snow storm hits the Ohio Valley

T-L Photo/J.D. LONG and Shelley Hanson

Snow shoveling in the area remains a work in progress with only the streets beginning to show clearance. Janet Fenstamaker, director of the Harrison County Visitor’s Center in Cadiz drove in from Piedmont on U.S. 22 and said it wasn’t bad, but that was around noon. She said she wouldn’t be opening the visitor’s center Monday as many other businesses like Ranch To Table, which is a mainstay in Cadiz, did not open its doors as well. Sander’s Market, located on S. Main Street just a block from the visitor’s center did open at their regular time at 9 a.m. But other places like some city parking lots, surrounded by local businesses, still had not been plowed as of 2 p.m. Monday.
