Drug arrests made Friday by Belmont, Harrison authorities

ST. CLAIRSVILLE – Four Tennessee men were arrested late last week after an investigation of alleged drug traffickers from out of town.

Local law enforcement believe the four men had been staying in the area for several weeks and had been trafficking in narcotics.

Detectives with the Belmont County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit in cooperation with the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office served two search warrants at two local hotels Friday night.

Detectives seized a total of 50 grams of cocaine as well as more than $2,000 in cash.

Scott Collard, 58; Austin Collard, 21; Chandler Slagle, 25; and Michael Santoro, 36, are charged with first-degree felony drug trafficking and possession.
