Buckeye Local announces graduating class of 2022

YORKVILLE — Buckeye Local High School’s Class of 2022 graduated on May 29 at World War II Memorial Stadium in Yorkville.

Co-valedictorian Cameron Isaiah Best is the son of Brian and Erin Best and older brother to Lindsey and Connor Best of Rayland. He is a member of the varsity golf and basketball teams as well as various clubs such as National Honors Society, Student Council, Merit Scholar, Chi-Phi Society, Highest Honors, and Academic Challenge. Cameron was awarded first Team OVAC, All Times Leader Team as well as played in the OVAC and District 5 All Star Basketball games.

Best is a member of the Meadowbrook Church of God in Rayland. He is heavily involved in Jefferson County 4-H, where he raises club calves and competitive show pigs. He is the 2021 Jefferson County Junior Fair king and president of the Free Spirits 4-H Club, where he has competed at the county, state and national levels. Cameron’s passion is agriculture, as he is the owner and operator of CB ShowCattle.

Upon graduation, he plans to attend Wheeling University in pursuit of a degree in physical therapy as well as to play on the Wheeling University golf team. He also plans on becoming an OVAC official as well as a basketball coach in the near future. H ewishes all of his classmates best of luck in their future endeavors.

Co-valedictorian Adrianna Nicole Blazeski is the daughter of Bob and Barb Blazeski of Harrisville. She has an older sister, Kassandra, and an older brother, Bryan.

Blazeski is very active in school. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the foreign language club, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the science club. She has been a four-year letterman in academics.

Athletically, she excelled on the Panther volleyball and basketball teams and was selected as one of the team captains her senior year.

Blazeski, a member of Harrisville Covenant Presbyterian Church, has also devoted a great deal of her time to her Shamrock 4-H Club, in which she volunteers as a 4-H camp counselor during the summer. She serves on the Harrison County Junior Fair Board in an advisory capacity. In addition, she works at one of the favorite ice cream vendors of her senior class, the Dairy Jean.

With a desire to help others, Blazeski plans to attend Ohio University Eastern in the fall to major in nursing. Her dream is to further her education and become a nurse practioner.
