At 10:25 p.m. Thursday, an officer responded to the Dollar General on Belmont-Morristown Road for a perimeter burglary alarm activation. Upon arrival, the officer said there was a vehicle in the parking lot, but no one was around, and the building was secure.

At 10:12 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to Dunham’s sporting goods store at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for an entry burglary alarm. A key holder was met at the scene. Everything was found to be secure.

At 8:33 p.m. Thursday, a complainant from White Hall Road, St. Clairsville, reported that her husband has been verbally abusive toward her. An officer advised there was nothing criminal involved. The female was going to the hospital with an emergency medical service squad for an unrelated issue, according to the report.

At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Dorsch Road, Martins Ferry, reported receiving threats and harassment from a neighbor over a dog. The caller said this was an ongoing issue with this particular neighbor over the past eight months. A statement was put on file.

At 8:23 p.m. Thursday, a complainant came to the station with audio recordings of a relative making idle threats. Information was taken, and the complainant was advised about steps to take to obtain a protection order from the prosecutor’s office.

At 5:44 p.m. Thursday, an emergency medical squad was requested for a female from a previous call to the Days in on Belmont-Morristown Road who had been reported missing. The female refused to go with the squad, according to the report, which was listed as an incident involving a person with mental health issues. Officials attempted to make arrangements for the female to have a place to stay, and the female walked toward the Sleep Inn as instructed. She was advised that if officials had any more issues with her this evening, she would be going to jail.

At 1:30 p.m. Thursday, a caller from South Street in Holloway advised her neighbor’s vehicle which had been reported stolen a couple of months ago was back in her driveway. Officers reported that a hit on the vehicle came up on the National Crime Information Center, where it was listed as stolen. The vehicle was towed, and a hold was put on it for the registered owner, according to the report.

At 12:59 p.m. Thursday, a caller from Chermont Road, Colerain, reported two suspicious males appeared to be casing the area. Deputies responded to the scene and spoke to the males, who advised they were just taking a rest while looking for work.

At 1:05 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that security cameras at his wife’s parents’ house on Old National Road, Barnesville, were capturing someone breaking into the home, and no one else was home at the moment. A sergeant arrived and advised there was no one there. A broken window was found, but upon speaking to the property owner, she advised that her husband had broken the window and her daughter was overreacting, as no one was trying to break into the house. The property owner did request extra patrols in the area, however.

At 1:23 a.m. Monday, a caller from Sunny Acres Drive, Martins Ferry, reported that two men got into a fight at her residence.

At 10:22 p.m. Sunday, an officer responded to Dollar General on Belmont-Morristown Road for an alarm drop indicating interior motion. Upon arrival, one vehicle was observed in the parking lot, but the building was found to be secured with no answer of the doorbell and no key holder responding.

At 7:15 p.m. Sunday, an officer on a traffic stop on the Hammond Road Connector in Richland Township issued a warning for high beam headlights to an Ohio motorist.

At 6:10 p.m. Sunday, a deputy was out on a traffic stop assisting units from the Ohio State Highway Patrol on Interstate 70 near mile marker 213 in St. Clairsville.

At 6:36 p.m. Sunday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Marion Street, Bridgeport, issued a warning for a red light violation to a West Virginia motorist.

At 5:15 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on National Road in Belmont advised threats were being made by a teenager at the Pine Lake Trailer Court. An officer spoke to both parties, and they were advised to stay away from each other.

At 9:11 p.m. Sunday, a caller advised he had been assaulted by a neighbor at Adolph Street in Bridgeport. A sergeant spoke with parties involved and reported that all parties were intoxicated, according to the report. Additional units were requested because of the number of people on the scene and the level of intoxication. Information was taken for a report.

At 7:29 p.m. Sunday, an officer responded to Mall Ring Road, St. Clairsville, for a report of a two-vehicle accident with property damage. Information was taken for a crash report.
