Three arrested in Monroe County

WOODSFIELD — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office recently announced the arrest of three people on drug-related charges.

Law enforcement with the sheriff’s office and Southeast Majors Crimes Task Force arrested Trentity D. Abbott of Woodsfield, Tosha M. McCloud of Powhatan Point and Nathaniel D. Hannahs of Barnesville in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, according to a release. Detectives and deputies allegedly located methamphetamine, currency, drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia during the course of the arrests.

Abbott was charged with drug trafficking and drug possession.

McCloud was charged with drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hannahs was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments.

Each was transported to the Monroe County Jail.

The Southeast Major Crimes Task Force is part of Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost’s Organized Crime Investigation Commission and is comprised of representatives of the Washington, Morgan, Noble, Monroe, Meigs and Athens County sheriff’s offices; the Marietta, Belpre, Middleport, McConnelsville, Nelsonville and Glouster police departments; the Washington, Morgan, Noble, Monroe, Meigs, and Athens county prosecutor’s offices; and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
