BRIDGEPORT -- A woman was arrested this week on drug charges and appeared in court.
Bridgeport Police Chief John Bumba said the arrest occurred during a routine patrol Monday.
"Officers from Bridgeport initiated a traffic stop on South Lincoln Avenue," he said. "The vehicle was stopped for a fictitious registration. Officers observed indicators of criminal behavior and a probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted."
He said this resulted in finding 10 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, multiple illegal pills packaged in small baggies, heroin needles, fentanyl and heroin.
Amanda O'Hara from the Steubenville-Weirton area was jailed for third-degree felony trafficking in drugs, third-degree felony drug possession and fifth-degree felony drug possession, Bumba said.
According to Belmont County Northern Division Court, O'Hara appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded innocent. Her next appearance is set for 10 a.m. May 17 for a preliminary hearing.
Her bond was set at $10,000.
