Belmont County Northern Division Court Judge Chris Berhalter listens to Assistant Public Defender Tom Ryncarz on Wednesday. Berhalter continued the hearing of Ricky Linde and ordered a competency evaluation at the request of Ryncarz. Linde faces first-degree felony charges of aggravated arson and attempted aggravated murder stemming from a Martins Ferry house fire in mid-April. Linde and his mother both reportedly lived in the Fayette Street residence.
