Jersey, the K-9 therapy dog frequently seen around the Belmont County Courthouse lobby, attended training last Thursday as part of a multi-agency event hosted by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and including 18 teams from across the state. The purpose was to expose the therapy dogs to different stimuli, in this case boats in an abandoned quarry. Jersey decided to jump off the boat and divers assisted her in swimming back to shore.
