At 9:54 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Captina Way, Jacobsburg, reported that his neighbor came to his house, punched him in the head and left. Deputies responded, and both parties refused charges. Both were advised to have no contact with each other.

At 7:47 p.m. Sunday, an officer responded to a report of a suspicious male on High Ridge Road, St. Clairsville. The man was walking in the middle of the road with no shirt on, according to the report. After arriving on the scene, the officer reported that the man was walking to Michigan, and everything was fine, according to the report.

At 6:23 p.m. Sunday, a complainant from an address on South Bridge Street in Belmont reported that his neighbor shot his garage accidentally, causing damage to his vehicle. The neighbor admitted to it and stated he would pay for the damage.

At 5:13 p.m. Sunday, a caller from National Road, St. Clairsville, reported the theft of a motorcycle. A deputy responded to the scene to take information.

At 1:16 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Bell Haven, Bellaire, reported a suspicious vehicle parked on the roadway for two weeks.

At 1:11 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Red Roof Inn in St. Clairsville reported there was a male in a room who was refusing to leave. Officers came to speak with the male, who had indicated that he intended to pay for another night. However, the front desk advised the male to leave the property. The male left without incident, according to the report.

At 12:29 p.m. Sunday, an assault was reported at the Pilot Travel Center, Belmont-Morristown Road. An emergency medical service squad transported the victim to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital. The squad requested that a deputy escort the victim. A suspect was taken to jail, according to the report.

At 11:58 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported customers were smoking in the hotel lobby at the Super 8 Motel on Matthews Drive, St. Clairsville, and were refusing to leave. Both customers were identified and removed, according to the report, which stated one male was banned from the Super 8 Motel property.

At 9:37 a.m. Sunday, a deputy responded to a report of a breaking and entering at an address on Kaczmarek Road, Flushing. A caller reported that someone broke into a garage and a vehicle. The door to the house was also damaged by someone trying to gain entry.

At 12:01 a.m. Sunday, units responded to the Fairfield Inn on Mall Road, St. Clairsville, for a report of a male and a female having a verbal altercation. Upon arrival, officers reported that nothing physical took place. They were just arguing over sleeping arrangements, according to the report.

At 11:59 p.m. Saturday, a caller from an address on Moores Ridge Road in Uhrichsville reported that he and his girlfriend had an argument, and he was too intoxicated to go check on her. A deputy responded to her address on Main Street in Jacobsburg, where the female’s vehicle was observed in the driveway. There were no lights on, and nobody would come to the door, according to the report.

At 2:01 p.m. Saturday, a caller from Green Lawn Road, Quaker City, reported that his rifle was stolen while he was walking in a field after a deer had been struck by a vehicle. The field was about two miles from Captina, according to the report. A theft report was to follow, and the firearm was entered into the system as stolen.

At 9:59 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address on Washington Street in Bethesda. Parties were separated, and the officer reported that nothing criminal had occurred.

At 10:17 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop in West Wheeling, Bridgeport, issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for speeding.

At 8:25 p.m. Monday, units responded to an address on Beth Drive in Bellaire to investigate a complaint. Information was taken for a report, and a temporary protection order was signed. Jared Joseph Baldwin was arrested and booked into the Belmont County Jail on a domestic violence charge.

At 4:57 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to a request for assistance from the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a vehicle accident in the median of Interstate 70 near mile marker 221 in St. Clairsville. An Ohio motorist hydroplaned in the westbound lane and came to rest in the median. No injuries were reported.

At 3:27 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near the Ohio Valley Mall issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for failure to yield.

At 12:31 p.m. Monday, a complainant from Jordan Run Road, Bellaire, came to the station to file a report of telecommunications harassment against his ex-girlfriend, who at the same time came to the station to file a complaint for the same thing against him.
