Woodsfield police make drug arrest

WOODSFIELD — A Pleasant City man was arrested Thursday on drug charges, according to the Woodsfield Police Department’s Facebook page.

Michael Clum was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail, where he is being held on charges of aggravated possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the page. Beth Ann Rose, Monroe County Clerk of Courts, said that Clum is not yet scheduled to appear in court.

According to WPD, K9 Jacob Officer McNerney initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation on Thursday.

After observing criminal indicators, McNerney deployed K9 Tito to conduct an open air sniff of the vehicle. K9 Tito indicated the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle allegedly resulted in the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
