Barnesville water to be shut off

BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Water Department will be replacing a main water valve on Thursday on Cherry Street. Water service will be turned off for this repair. The affected area will be Cherry Street and North Arch Street from East Walnut Street to the dead end.

A boil advisory will be in place for 48 hours once water service is restored. Water should be vigorously boiled for at least one minute prior to human consumption or dental hygiene use.

Residents may also notice discoloration and should be cautious with laundry.

Belmont County Township Association to meet, elect OPWC representative

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont County Township Association will have a meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the county garage on Roscoe Road for the purpose of electing a trustee to the Ohio Public Works Integrating Committee in Belmont County for road projects.

Land bank session set

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Belmont County Land Reutilization Corp. will hold a monthly meeting oat 9 a.m. Nov. 2 in the commissioners’ meeting room in the Belmont County Courthouse. The meeting will be open to the public.
