Belmont College announces the addition of Richard Myser to board of trustees

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — Belmont College is pleased to announce the addition of a new member to serve on its board of trustees.

The newest board member, appointed by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine, is Richard Myser.

Myser was installed at the Nov. 30 board meeting with attorney Cory DelGuzzo of Northwest Law administering the oath of office. He will serve on the board as a representative of Belmont County.

Myser, from St. Clairsville, currently works as an attorney for Myser & Myser Law Firm in Bridgeport. He has practiced law for more than 45 years and specializes in probate and estate administration, real estate, estate planning, business and corporate law, as well as oil and gas. He is a graduate of Marion College, B.A. with high distinction-Getty Scholar 1994, and Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. Myser serves on many boards locally, including Bridgeport Rotary, Ohio Valley Chapter American Red Cross, Valley Hospice, Belco Works and St. Clairsville Chamber of Commerce, among others.

“I am excited to welcome Mr. Myser to the College Board of Trustees,” said Mrs. Elizabeth Gates, board of trustees chairwoman. “I am grateful for his willingness to serve, and I know that he will help us continue to ensure that students have access to higher education that will improve their lives. I look forward to seeing his impact on our institution.”
