Drug arrest made during traffic stop
CLARINGTON — According to a press release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Deputy David Miller conducted a traffic stop on Friday on Market Street in Clarington.
The driver was identified as Dylan Ayers, 23, of Clarington.
The press release stated that Ayers showed “criminal indicators” that led to further investigation. K9 Max indicated that narcotics were located within the vehicle. Deputies discovered heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Sheriff Charles Black Jr. stated that Ayers also threw drug paraphernalia under the patrol vehicle in an attempt to discard it.
Ayers was arrested and transported to the Monroe County Jail for the possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.
