Monroe County Sheriff’s Office conducts narcotics searches

On Thursday afternoon, school resource officers and K-9 units from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office conducted narcotic searches at Monroe Central High School/Junior High and Woodsfield Elementary. “I am glad to report that we didn’t have any K-9 alerts at any of the schools,” Sheriff Charles Black Jr. said, noting that the K-9 units also trained on Thursday morning to prepare for the State K-9 Qualification on Friday.
