Barnesville wrestlers and cheerleaders honored by council

The Barnesville Shamrock Cheerleaders receive a Certificate of Recognition from Barnesville Mayor Jake Hershberger on Monday for winning the OVAC AAA Championship for the third consecutive year as well as finishing with the overall high score at the event, which was held at WesBanco Arena in Wheeling earlier this month. He also recognized them for winning the Varsity, Non-Building, Division II Game Day championship title at the 2024 National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida. “The village of Barnesville is proud of the Shamrock Cheerleaders, and we congratulate them for this achievement,” Hershberger said.
