Easter Bunny gearing up for events across the Ohio Valley

AS SPRING flowers start to bloom and the robins begin to appear, the Easter Bunny is gearing up to deliver his special baskets of treats to children across the Ohio Valley.

The holiday hare is also planning to attend several upcoming Easter events such as egg hunts and more in the coming weeks.

Belmont County:

— Grace Presbyterian Church in Martins Ferry is slated to host an Easter Party/Egg Hunt from 1-3 p.m. March 23. The party will include an egg hunt, craft stations, games and a visit from the Easter Bunny.

— Village of Bethesda Easter Egg Hunt is set for noon March 30 at Epworth Park’s playground area. The Easter Bunny will be visiting, too.

— An Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled to be held at 1 p.m. March 17 at Cumberland Pointe Care Center in St. Clairsville. There will be activities for the whole family during the hunt.

— An Easter Egg Hunt is slated for 10 a.m. March 23 at Rolling Hills Rehabilitation, 68222 Commercial Drive, Bridgeport. There will be an egg hunt and grab bags for each participant. There will also be breakfast with the Easter Bunny.

— A Community Egg Hunt will take place at 3 p.m. March 23 at the Belmont County Fairgrounds, located on Roscoe Road, St. Clairsville.

— The village of Belmont will host Breakfast with the Bunny and an Easter Egg Hunt on March 23. A hot breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. with the hunt getting underway at 10 a.m. at the village gym and playground.

Jefferson County:

— An Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 23 at Belleview Park, Steubenville.

— Word of Life Assemblies of God, Steubenville, is slated to host an Easter Eggstravaganza from 1-3 p.m. March 30. There will be egg hunts, prizes, games and more.

Ohio County:

— An Easter Treasure Hunt is slated from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 29-30 at Oglebay Park’s Good Zoo. Children can meet the Easter Bunny and hop their way through a treasure hunt in the zoo. There will be treat stations set up throughout. There is a cost though children 2 years old and younger can enter free. To register, visit https://bit.ly/3uufiW9.

— Children can visit and get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 23, 29 and 30; 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 24; 5-8 p.m. March 25-27; 4-8 p.m. March 28; and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 31 at Cabela’s at The Highlands. To register, visit cabelas.com/easter.

— A Breakfast With the Easter Bunny from 8-9:30 a.m. and from 10 a.m. to noon on March 30 at Oglebay Park’s Wilson Lodge. There is a cost; call 304-243-4000. The breakfast will include a breakfast buffet, magic, balloon art, face painting, character meet and greets, and the Easter Bunny.

— The On the Bunny Trail Easter Egg Hunt is slated for March 29 at the Schrader Center in Oglebay Park. There are five times slots available: 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. People are asked to bring a basket for the egg hunt. There will also be crafts, a visit with the Easter Bunny, face painting, Egg Olympics, a Cake Walk and a live animal meet and greet. Admission is $10 per child. Adults enter free. — For those looking for a more adult Easter event, Clientele Art Studio in Wheeling is scheduled to host an Easter Glaze and Sip from 1-5 p.m. March 16 by Be Kind Ceramics. The cost is $30 and includes a ceramic bunny and paints. After, Be Kind Ceramics will fire the bunnies in a kiln. Marshall County:

— The city of Moundsville will host its Easter Drive-Thru event from 10 a.m. to noon March 16 outside the Four Seasons Pool. Children will receive a treat bag. The Easter Bunny will be on hand and there will also be craft stations.

— Flurry’s Egg Hunt at Grand Vue Park in Moundsville is slated to begin at 1 p.m. March 23. Activities will take place at the red barn. Register at 304-845-9810 ext. 403 or online at grandvuepark.com. The Easter Bunny will be there for photos. Along with the egg hunt children can also do a craft and eat a Bunny Cone.
