St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools named Momentum award winner

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce announced the 2022-2023 Momentum award winners earlier this week.

The award is based on improvements made to Ohio’s School Report Cards, which are released each fall and rate districts in five categories: Achievement, Progress, Gap Closing, Graduation and Early Literacy.

Awardees must improve their Performance Index by three or more points over the previous year’s report card and receive a progress rating of 4 or more stars. St. Clairsville Middle School is one of only 310 buildings out of nearly 3,600 in the state to receive this award.

“Every moment matters at St. Clairsville Schools, and this award is a testament to our commitment to improvement and student success,” said Christina Laudermilt, assistant superintendent and director of curriculum and instruction.
