MARTINS FERRY — St. Mary Central School in Martins Ferry is holding an open house from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday for registration for the 2024-25 school year for new students in preschool through eighth grade.

Attendees will have an opportunity to see the school and meet the teachers.

The 4-year-old preschool program is four full days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The 3-year-old program is Tuesday and Thursday mornings. A non-refundable registration fee is required.

To register, parents need to bring their child’s birth certificate, health immunization records and the child’s Social Security card.

A non-refundable registration fee is due the day of registration for students entering kindergarten through eighth grade.

Children must be 5 years of age by Aug. 1 to be eligible for kindergarten.

In a news release, St. Mary Central School states that it offers a challenging curriculum, small classes, a family atmosphere and After-School Care from 2:15-5:30 p.m. An hourly fee is charged.
