Charred debris lies outside the Taflan Steel building in Lansing following a brief fire Wednesday afternoon. Multiple fire departments responded to the site along National Road in the late afternoon. The fire occurred on the exterior of the building and did not breach the inside. Wolfhurst Volunteer Fire Department was the lead agency on the scene with assistance from the Cumberland Trail Fire District, Brookside Fire Department and Bridgeport Fire Department. No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident and the fire was quickly put out.
