Firefighters from Barnesville, Belmont and Fairview extinguish flames that damaged multiple vehicles early Thursday on Interstate 70 east around mile marker 201. According to fire officials, the brakes on the semi-truck car carrier caught fire and the flames spread to the vehicles it was hauling. Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Brittany Brannan said the fire was reported at 6:22 a.m. The patrol closed both eastbound lanes for a short time until it was safe for traffic to pass through the area. No injuries were reported.
