At 2:55 a.m. Friday, a caller reported that he believed a terminated male employee from Days Inn West on Holiday Drive in St. Clairsville was in the parking lot. An officer checked the parking lot, but no vehicles came back to the male in question.
At 1:49 a.m. Friday, a caller from an address on Gibas Road in Neffs reported that there were people staring in her window. The caller had a history of mental health issues, according to the report. A deputy was in the area. Contact was made with the caller, but no contact was made with anyone else, and everything seemed to be fine, the report stated.
At 12:56 a.m. Friday, deputies attempting to serve a warrant at an address on Beal Street in Lansing were given permission to search the residence. A male said the female was just there, but she was not located.
At 12:01 a.m. Friday, a caller reported that a group of people were having a party and a bonfire with loud music on Johnson North Road in Bethesda. Officers spoke with the male who was having the party. Everything was quieted down.
At 10:52 p.m. Thursday, a caller asked to speak to a deputy about loud music outside at apartments on Allen Avenue in Powhatan Point. An officer spoke with the caller, but no noise was heard at that time. A deputy sat in the area after midnight and reported that he believed the noise the caller was hearing was from traffic moving up and down Ohio 7, where a large bump caused trailers to rattle.
At 10:19 p.m. Thursday, an officer at the Pilot Travel Center on Belmont-Morristown Road reported that two tractor-trailers were involved in an accident near one of the pumps. Information was taken for a report. There was property damage only.
At 9:55 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of a 16-year-old female who was tearing up the house at an address on Central Avenue in St. Clairsville. The juvenile was mad that her mother took the phone that her boyfriend gave her.
At 9:42 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 westbound near mile marker 211 issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for an improper lane change.
At 8:52 p.m. Thursday, a sergeant on a traffic stop on Mall Ring Road in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for an improper turn.
At 8:13 p.m. Thursday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Hanover Street in Martins Ferry requested a police unit and a K-9, which gave a positive indication on the driver’s side door of the vehicle. Two females were transported to jail. When one female was removed from the car, there was a white substance on the seat, according to the report. She was charged with conveyance of prohibited items into a detention facility, along with tampering with evidence, possession of drug abuse instruments and possession of drugs.
At 7:45 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported there were individuals dumping bricks and garbage on property on Angelo Road in Bridgeport. Officers responded but did not locate anyone.
At 7:35 p.m. Thursday, a caller advised there were two people driving past her house on Willow Grove Road in St. Clairsville with one child sitting in the window of the vehicle. An officer responded but did not locate the vehicle. Information was forwarded to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At 6:47 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported two suspicious females in a vehicle at 37th Street in Bellaire. Burnt tin foil could be seen in plain sight, according to a deputy, who requested a K-9 unit. Drug paraphernalia and drugs were found in a purse and under the passenger seat. One female was taken to jail and booked on charges of failure to appear, possession of drugs and possession of drug abuse instruments.
At 5:42 p.m. Thursday, several officers responded to an address on Main Street in Bridgeport for a report of a person with a knife. A male reportedly had been stabbed. An officer located the male in the woods. The officer deployed his Taser and took him into custody. A deputy was taken to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital for sutures, according to the report. The weapon was confiscated and bagged. The Bridgeport Police Department assisted. The suspect was taken to jail.
At 4:39 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a male had been hanging around the Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services building on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville all day. He left before an officer arrived. The officer checked around the area but did not locate him.
At 4:22 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop near Bellaire schools issued a warning to a motorist for an equipment violation.
At 3:29 p.m. Thursday, a caller from 41st Street in Bellaire advised that her friend slept with her boyfriend and stole her purse and cards. Both parties were in the parking lot screaming at each other. Methamphetamine was located, according to the report. A female was banging body parts off of the cage in the cruiser while she was being taken to jail, according to the report. Monica Rose Vargo was booked on charges of possession of drug abuse instruments, persistent disorderly conduct, petty theft and possession of drugs.
At 12:55 p.m. Thursday, a hospice nurse reported elder abuse at an address on Maple Avenue in Bridgeport. A female requested a squad to transport a female.
At 12:46 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that a neighbor on Hendrysburg-Freeport Road in Flushing was threatening to come into her property and shoot her animals.
At 6:29 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious person sleeping in a doorway at the Belmont-Harrison Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville. An officer responded and gave the male a ride to Belmont County Department of Job and Family Services.
