12:13 a.m. – Officers responded to a 911 hangup on the 1100 Block of South Zane Highway. The building was checked, and all doors were secure.

8:02 a.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Grant Avenue near South Eighth Street. The driver was identified and issued a warning for turn signal violation.

8:41 a.m. – Officers responded to Ohio 7 and Mackey Avenue for a report of a disabled vehicle. Naylor’s Towing was contacted.

9:46 a.m. – Martins Ferry PD assisted Belmont County Sheriff’s Office on the 500 block of Clinton Street with a warrant attempt.

10:08 a.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Colerain Pike near Crescent Road. The driver and passenger were identified. Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, placed one male in custody and transported him to Belmont County Jail. The driver was given a warning for marked lanes violation.

11:04 a.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Broadway Street near Jefferson Street. The driver was identified and issued a warning for improper display.

11:17 a.m. – Officers were out with a vehicle on Hill Street near Ohio 7 that was suspected of having fictitious plates. Naylor’s Towing was contacted.

12:49 p.m. – Officers responded to a parking complaint on the 600 block of Jefferson Street. Officers chalked the vehicle and issued a parking ticket for expired registration.

1:24 p.m. – A male came on station to speak with an officer. The male was given advice.

1:49 pm.. – A traffic stop was initiated on Ohio 7. The individuals in the vehicle were identified. The driver was issued a citation for driving under suspension and expired registration.

2:49 p.m. – A male came on station to file a report regarding a person trespassing onto his property. All information was taken for a report.

3:29 p.m. – Officers were out on Indiana Street near Madison Street with a male on a bicycle. The male was placed in custody for having an active warrant out of Belmont County and was transported to Belmont County Jail. Officers cleared.

3:49 p.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Walnut Street near South Zane. The driver was identified and issued a warning for turn signal violation.

4:04 p.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Aetna Street near Ohio7. The driver was identified and was issued a warning for loud exhaust.

4:23 p.m. – Officers responded to a call regarding a male going through a dumpster on the 500 block of South Zane Highway. Officers spoke with the male and he left.

4:27 p.m. – Martins Ferry PD assisted Martins Ferry EMS with a medical emergency on School Street near Broadway Street.

4:49 p.m. – Martins Ferry PD assisted Bridgeport PD with a traffic stop on Ohio 7 near Aetna Street.

6:11 p.m. – A male came on station to speak with an officer regarding his neighbors and strong odor of marijuana coming from the residence. Officers advised male of marijuana laws.

9:37 p.m. – A traffic stop was initiated on Aetna Street near South Zane Highway. The driver was identified and was issued a warning for no headlights.
