The Appalachian Soul Man partners with Ohio Valley Mutual Aid for flood recovery concert and supply drive
Since 2023 Appalachian Soul Man, Aristotle Jones, has been building a steady fanbase of support in the Ohio Valley area performing his unique blend of Soul and Gospel inspired Appalachian Music.
Now he and his “Amazing Appalachian Soul Band” want to support the recovery and cleanup efforts in the Ohio Valley Communities devastated by the recent flooding.
His band will be donating 100% of their compensation from their July 10 concert at Historic Fort Steuben in Steubenville to Ohio Valley Mutual Aid, an organization that has been active in cleanup efforts. There will be a donation station for much-needed supplies and monetary donations. In addition, the Appalachian Soul man has partnered with The Center for Music & Art in Winterville as a physical donation hub for those who cannot attend the concert.
“One of my core values is building community through creative expression, and building community starts with showing up,” Jones said. “… It’s the same with rebuilding a community after a disaster … the best way to help is to show up.”
Aristotle and his band will be collecting cash donations on site at the live concert event, as well as donating a portion of their merchandise sales that day. Online donations can be made directly to Ohio Valley Mutual Aid at secure.actblue.com/donate/ohio-valley
