At 11:46 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 218 in St. Clairsville reported that a K-9 gave a positive indication on the vehicle. Nothing was found during a search. The Ohio motorist was issued a warning for speeding.

At 10:01p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to South Leatherwood Road in Barnesville to assist Barnesville Police. One male was transported to jail.

At 9:19 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that his nephew told him someone broke into his house at South 26th Road in Bethesda. The caller was about 20 minutes away. Officers responded and found a back door of the residence open. The homeowner subsequently arrived on the scene, according to the incident report, which was listed as a breaking and entering.

At 8:30 p.m. Thursday, a 911 call was received from an address on Orchard Drive in Colerain. A female on the line sounded confused, according to the report. She was stating that she was at the Colerain Social Hall when she was pinging from the Orchard Drive address. A deputy located her and spoke with her, and she seemed fine, the report stated.

At 7:35 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Ohio 9 in Richland Township issued a warning to a motorist for driving outside of marked lanes.

At 7 p.m. Thursday, a deputy spoke with a complainant from Barton-Crescent Road in St. Clairsville who came to the station to report a scam on Facebook.

At 6:53 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on Pipe Creek Road in Jacobsburg for a report of a motor vehicle accident with property damage. A neighbor reportedly backed into the complainant’s shed with a truck, according to the report. An officer searched Powhatan Point for the truck that was involved, the report indicated. It was not located. The officer was planning to contact the driver’s parole officer, according to the report.

At 6:23 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Guernsey Street in Bellaire issued a warning to a motorist for failure to signal.

At 5:55 p.m. Thursday, an officer on a traffic stop on Jefferson Street in Pultney Township issued a warning for stop sign and turn signal violations. Consent to search was given, but nothing was found, according to the report.

At 4:40 p.m. Thursday, a complainant from Reddington Road in Holloway reported problems with a neighbor parking on his property. He was advised that he may have an unauthorized vehicle towed off of his property.

At 3:36 p.m. Thursday, a deputy on a special detail was out at an address on Rock River Road in Somerset Township with Child Protective Services.

At 2:13 p.m. Thursday, a complainant from West Cross Street in Morristown came to the station and spoke with a sergeant about fraudulent activities on his Amazon account.
