At 8:24 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Brookside reported that dogs came out of an address on Elm Street and bit a male. A deputy responded, and EMS was dispatched. The dog warden also responded. The EMS located the victim at an address on Overbrook Drive. The victim refused treatment. The owner was rounding up the dogs, and the dog warden responded to the residence.
At 7:32 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Skyview Drive in Martins Ferry stated juveniles in the neighborhood were asking for work to do, then suspiciously returned twice trying to sell an Xbox gaming system.
At 6:54 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Gibas Road in Bellaire reported that there were men in her house and more outside, and she did not know them. According to the report, there was a long history of calls from this residence with mental issues related. Central dispatch contacted a family member, but they could not respond. Coleman’s Health Services was contacted, but advised they do not respond past 5 p.m. The caller called back screaming. Central dispatch offered her an ambulance for her own evaluation, but she declined. A deputy also spoke with her, and she declined any and all assistance, according to the report. A friend was allegedly going to stay the night with her.
At 6:27 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Meadow Lane in St. Clairsville reported that she had a protection order against her husband, who had been following her. She was at Wendy’s in the Ohio Valley Plaza, and he just pulled next to her, according to the report. Officers responded and took the male in custody.
At 5:29 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from an address on Virginia Street in Bethesda reported that a boy who looked to be about 5 years old was running around the apartment complex. Information was sent to Child Protective Services. An officer responded and observed three boys in the area, two older boys and one younger boy. The officer spoke with the caller about the complaint, and he said he would take care of it, according to the report.
At 4:29 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to an address in Pultney Township for a call about an assault. A complainant said a friend punched him. The other party left, the report stated.
At 4:21 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in Bridgeport for a report of a male who made threats. Upon arrival, the officer reported that the male who reportedly made the threats was not there.
At 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on Hawthorne Hill Road in Shadyside for a report of individuals threatening to burn stuff in the house. The caller left with the children to a friend’s house. The female complainant was advised to seek a civil protection order.
