At 1:53 a.m. Thursday, a caller from Pike Street in Maynard reported that his daughter and her boyfriend were intoxicated and got into a dispute. Officers responded, but the male was gone before they arrived. Units responded to Provident Road trying to make contact with him. Information was taken for a report. The domestic was verbal only, officers reported.
At 12:11 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to the area of Oil and Gas Safety Supply on Mall Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a male and female dumpster diving. The officer located the couple. One female was taken into custody.
At 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, a caller requested a welfare check on her 76-year-old father who has health problems. An officer responded to Warnock-Whitney Road in Belmont and made contact with the male. The officer reported that he was OK.
At 11:39 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from the Pilot travel center on Belmont-Morristown Road reported that a male may have stolen something from the establishment. The male reportedly was staying with his mother on Barnesville-Waterworks Road and had multiple warrants, according to the caller. An officer responded but did not make contact with the male.
At 7:32 p.m. Wednesday, an officer responded to the area of Pizza Hut on National Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a suspicious male walking in the road. The officer did not locate the male.
At 7:03 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported that while she was on the phone with her sister, she heard gunshots, and then the line went dead. The complainant called back and stated that her sister’s boyfriend was threatening to pour gasoline on the ground and light the camper on fire with her inside. Fire and EMS personnel were placed on standby. A responding officer reported that there was no evidence of threats being made. The victim did not want to pursue criminal charges, according to the report.
At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, deputies responded to the area of Gabriel Brothers on Banfield Road in St. Clairsville for a report of parents near the front entrance of the store striking a juvenile repeatedly. An officer was out with the individuals. Child Protective Services was contacted. The child was released to the parents, and CPS has a report.
At 4:10 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out with a disabled vehicle on the side of Interstate 70 west near mile marker 204 in Kirkwood Township. The motorist was waiting for a spare tire, and the vehicle was off the roadway, the report stated.
At 2:52 p.m. Wednesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Hanover Street in Martins Ferry. An Ohio motorist was issued a warning for driving outside of marked lanes.
At 8:31 a.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out at a location on Glencoe Road in Glencoe investigating an illegal dumpsite.
At 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, a caller at an AT&T site on High Ridge Road in Pease Township requested to speak with an officer about 100 feet of cable being stolen overnight. A deputy responded.
