BELMONT COUNTY SHERIFF’S Department

At 11:46 p.m. Sunday, units responded to a report of threats being made at Belmont Heights Apartments on Blaine-Chermont Road in Bridgeport. A caller reported that her boyfriend was accusing her of threatening him, but he was threatening her, she said. Units arrived, but the boyfriend left before the complainant called 911. She was advised to call back if he returns.

At 6:54 p.m. Sunday, units responded to Barkcamp Park Road in Belmont to assist the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a possible domestic incident. A couple was arguing, according to the report. Parties were separated. Both advised that it was just a heated argument and no threats were made.

At 6:19 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked off of the side of the road near the Iron Eagle Inn on Wegee Road in Shadyside. Nobody was getting in or out of the vehicle, according to the complainant. Shortly afterward, the complainant called back and advised that the vehicle had left.

At 6 p.m. Sunday, a complainant came to the station to report an altercation that occurred on Friday in Pultney Township. She said she was jumped by two females. She said that she was arrested for assault by the Bellaire Police Department and transported to jail, but the other two females were not arrested. She stated that she was taken to Trinity Medical Center’s emergency room in St. Clairsville shortly after arriving at the jail.

At 5:58 p.m. Sunday, an officer spoke with a caller regarding a vehicle that caught on fire at the Bel-Mor gas station on Belmont-Morristown Road in Morristown at around 4 p.m. The individual requested a call record for the incident.

At 9:52 p.m. Saturday, an officer with the St. Clairsville Police Department reported that he received a call from Beacon House at Forrest Hills on Reservoir Road in St. Clairsville about a snake in an elevator. Officers responded, but the maintenance staff had already removed the snake, according to the report. An officer advised them to call the non-emergency number and to contact DWART (Dangerous Wild Animal Response Team) if needed in the future. The elevator was checked for more snakes, with none found.

At 8:43 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported that he was a Door Dasher, and Applebee’s on Valley Frontage Road in St. Clairsville was refusing to give him his order. A deputy responded to Applebee’s and spoke with the manager. This individual was trespassed from the property. He was contacting Door Dash and Uber Eats so he can not pick up future orders there, according to the report. The caller reported that he no longer wished to speak with a deputy, and he left. The deputy advised staff members to contact 911 if he returns.

At 8:25 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported that a male was sleeping or passed out behind the wheel in the Lowe’s parking lot. The vehicle was running, and the music was blaring. St. Clairsville Police also responded. The male was transported to the Ohio State Highway Patrol for a test. He was then taken to jail, according to the report.

At 8:37 a.m. Saturday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Noble Street in Bellaire issued a verbal warning to a motorist for a stop sign violation.

At 5:19 p.m. Friday, Belmont County 911 reported that a suspicious vehicle pulled into their lot on Bannock Road in St. Clairsville. A driver exited the vehicle and went down towards the new Health Department building site. Deputies responded and located the male. He was a worker at the site returning to gather his tools. Deputies cleared the scene.
