CFOV’s Expand Energy STEM Grant cycle opens

WHEELING — The Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley is announcing the opening of the Expand Energy Science, Technology, Engineering and Math grant cycle.

Eligible schools are invited to apply for Expand Energy STEM grants from Sept. 5-Oct. 3. Expand Energy will concentrate efforts to support public school STEM education by awarding grants to K-12 teachers in Brooke, Ohio, Marshall and Wetzel County schools for projects that incorporate STEM concepts into the classrooms.

Maximum awards will be $1,000. Innovative and creative project proposals are encouraged. These grants are to support projects and programs that are not covered by school budgets. All grant recipients will be asked to report on the expenditure of the funds and provide a summary of project outcomes.

“At the CFOV, we are proud to support programs that strengthen education, enhance communities, and foster innovation,” said CFOV Executive Director Susie Nelson. “The Expand Energy STEM grants are an excellent example of how partnerships and philanthropy can come together to create meaningful opportunities.”
