At 3:42 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to Riesbeck’s on National Road in Bridgeport for a report of a female panhandling people for money. She was seen heading toward Brookside on National Road. The officer reportedly contacted the subject near Advance Auto Parts.
At 2:26 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was called to a location on Ohio 7 south in Shadyside for a report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol about a possible bald eagle dead along the side of the road. Officers contacted resources to take the bird, which was identified as a goose. Officers were to dispose of the bird.
At 7:17 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy was out with a female walking on Interstate 70 east in Richland Township. The female reportedly lost something on the road. The deputy gave her a ride back to her vehicle 100 yards up the interstate.
At 3:08 a.m. Friday, officers responded to a report of domestic trouble at an address on Eisenhower Avenue in Bridgeport. A caller said a female from the trailer across from her took off running and yelling for help. The caller said she believed a male may have also taken off on foot. The female and male at the trailer have had domestic issues, according to the report. Officers patrolled the area but found nothing.
At 10:29 p.m. Thursday, a caller stated there were three males and a female on the porch of the neighbor’s house on Main Street in Jacobsburg, and no one lives there. Another woman called and reported that it was her children that were jogging up Ohio 147, and the original complainant was irate when she confronted the children about being on the porch, according to the report.
At 9:20 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported that two juvenile females ran away from the Village Network Youth Center on National Road in Morristown. They wanted to go to Walmart to get phones, according to the report. A deputy patrolled the area near Pike 40 but did not locate the individuals.
At 8:38 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported an assault near the livestock arena at the Belmont County Fair on Roscoe Road in St. Clairsville. An officer spoke with the victim, who denied emergency medical service help. The other party was also located, and both parties were advised to stay away from one another. Information was taken from all parties for a report to be forwarded to the Belmont County Prosecutor’s Office for criminal charges.
At 7:53 p.m. Thursday, an officer performed a traffic stop on the Interstate 70 east on ramp in Belmont of a vehicle with a female suspected to be involved in a previous incident at McDonald’s. She stated that she was going to the truck stop, according to the report, which stated that she was advised the Ohio State Highway Patrol will ask her to leave.
At 7:31 p.m. Thursday, an officer responded to McDonald’s on Belmont-Morristown Road in Belmont for a report of a female who was reportedly acting strange.
At 6:31 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on Zelda Avenue in Bridgeport for a report of a DOA. Sunset Heights and Colerain EMS arrived also, and they contacted the coroner’s office. The family was at the scene, and a funeral home was contacted.
At 6:29 p.m. Thursday, units responded to Valley Centre Boulevard in St. Clairsville for a complaint of a domestic situation in the parking lot, with a lot of yelling and stuff being thrown, according to the report. This was a verbal dispute, according to the report. An officer transported two juveniles and one female to America’s Best Value Inn. A male was leaving the hotel.
At 12:16 p.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in Lansing for a report of an elderly man being threatened by a male from a local business. The complainant did not wish to pursue charges, the report indicated.
At 10:13 a.m. Thursday, a deputy responded to an address on West Center Street in Bridgeport on a request for a welfare check on children in the house, where there reportedly was trash everywhere. The officer reported that everything was OK there. There was nothing of any concern.
