At 11:07 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 east near mile marker 220 in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a Florida motorist for speeding.

At 9:39 p.m. Monday, a caller reported hearing multiple gunshots close to an address in Pultney Township. The caller said she believed the shots came from a car and went into a hillside. A deputy patrolled the area but found nothing.

At 7:20 p.m. Monday, an officer was out with the Ohio State Highway Patrol at the Capstone Holding Company on Bannock-Uniontown Road in Wheeling Township. They were getting information from individuals about a fatal crash in Tuscarawas County, the report stated.

At 5 p.m. Monday, officers on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 east at the rest area near mile marker 210 reported that a K-9 gave a positive indication on the driver’s side of a vehicle. Two people were detained, and a representative of the animal shelter was called to come pick up a dog. One male and one female were taken to jail, according to the report.

At 11:56 a.m. Monday, officers responded to East Richland Christian School on Friends Church Road in St. Clairsville. Three unknown individuals were entering the school, according to a caller. One individual was picked up in a vehicle. A deputy located the other two, who were looking for water, according to the report. They did not enter the school, and everything was OK, according to the officers. Two individuals were transported to West Virginia by a deputy.

At 11:47 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address in Pultney Township for a complaint about dogs in a caller’s backyard. The dogs live miles away, and items in the yard were destroyed by the dogs. According to the report, the dog warden was handling everything.

At 10:26 a.m. Monday, a deputy responded to an address on Cadiz Pike in Bridgeport to assist Martins Ferry Police. A K-9 was brought to the scene of a traffic stop, and the dog gave a positive indication on the passenger side. A deputy found a syringe in the car, and drugs were reportedly recovered from a female.

At 9:18 a.m. Monday, a caller reported that a male had been making threats and strange statements all weekend at Big Lots on National Road in Bridgeport. A deputy responded. The male reportedly arrived at work at 11 a.m. and was being terminated from his job. A deputy returned to the store later and waited to see if the male showed up, but he had called off for the day, according to the report.
