ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Ohio State Highway Patrol St. Clairsville Post is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at about 9:12 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 250 near Milepost 3 in Colerain Township.

Preliminary findings reveal that a 2017 Jeep Compass, driven by Frank M. Kuatv, 83, of Adena, was traveling west on U.S. 250 when it veered off the left side of the road and collided with a house.

Kutav was transported to WVU Medicine Wheeling Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

Responding agencies at the scene included the patrol, Belmont County Sheriff’s Department, Colerain Fire & EMS and T&K Towing.

The crash remains under active investigation.
