At 11:46 p.m. Monday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 470 west in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a Pennsylvania motorist for a brake light violation.
At 11:31 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on 28th Street in Bellaire issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a turn signal violation and a stop bar violation.
At 11:05 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on 37th Street in Bellaire near Noble Street issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for a stop sign violation.
At 9:31 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 west near mile marker 217 issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for an equipment violation.
At 8 p.m. Monday, units responded to Marshall’s at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville for a report of a 17-year-old female self harming in the bathroom. The juvenile was transported to Trinity Medical Center, and a deputy spoke with her father.
At 7:38 p.m. Monday, loss prevention at Riesbeck’s on National Road in Bridgeport apprehended a male shoplifter in the parking lot. He reportedly was taken back to the los prevention office, but then was reportedly running behind the store. One male was taken into custody. The dog warden was contacted for a small dog that was tied to a fire hydrant. One male was taken to jail, and the dog was taken by the dog warden.
At 7:01 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to an address on Morningside Drive in St. Clairsville for a report of a vehicle break-in. A bag was stolen from the vehicle, according to the owner. Information was taken for a breaking and entering report.
At 6:06 p.m. Monday, several units responded to America’s Best Value Inn on National Road in St. Clairsville for an attempt to serve a felony warrant. Drug paraphernalia was observed in plain view and drugs were recovered, according to the report. Harry Andrew Croft was booked into the Belmont County Jail on charges of theft, endangering children, possession of drugs, possession of criminal tools and possession of drug abuse instruments.
At 5:40 p.m. Monday, a deputy on a traffic stop on Mercer Road at Ayers Road in Colerain issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for driving left of center.
At 10:35 a.m. Monday, a school resource officer at the Belmont Career Center in St. Clairsville requested a report number for a drug paraphernalia case.
At 7:47 a.m. Monday, a caller from Almar Circle in St. Clairsville reported that someone broke into his vehicle overnight and took a pistol. A deputy responded, and information was taken for a breaking and entering report.
At 7:03 a.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Olde Ridge Lane Extension in St. Clairsville reported that someone broke into a vehicle. Deputies responded and took information.
