At 12:39 a.m. Monday, a deputy was out with a suspicious vehicle at the south end of the National Road Bikeway on Reservoir Road in St. Clairsville. The vehicle was occupied, and the motorist was advised that this was a no parking zone between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. The vehicle was leaving, the officer reported.
At 11:17 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop on Mall Ring Road near the parking lot of the former Sears store in St. Clairsville issued a warning to an Ohio motorist for driving habits.
At 11:03 p.m. Tuesday, an anonymous female called to report a suspicious young male, possibly drunk, sitting on the guardrail between a bar and a church parking lot on Main Street in Fairpoint. An officer responded, but did not locate the male.
At 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, a technician working on site at Reco Equipment, Reco Road, Morristown, left the gate half open, and a truck driver entered the lot, getting the trailer stuck on an excavator. An officer took information for an accident report with property damage only.
At 10:18 p.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to a report of a two-car accident on Mall Road in St. Clairsville. The Ohio State Highway Patrol requested that the sheriff’s office go to the scene until they were able to arrive.
At 9:45 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a male in an altered state at an address on Handel Street in Blaine. An emergency medical service squad responded. The male answered all questions appropriately, according to the report, which stated that a medication issue may have contributed to the issue. The male had an upcoming appointment.
At 9:02 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from Sandy Ridge Road in Barnesville reported multiple goats in the roadway. The owner of the goats was identified, and he was on his way to put them back in the barn.
At 8:26 p.m. Tuesday, a 911 hangup call was received from an address on Handel Street in Blaine. According to the report, the caller advised it was an accidental call, and everything was fine at the residence. A female there has an autistic son who was playing with the phone, according to the report.
At 7:16 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that a deer needed to be put down at an address on Provident-Fairpoint Road in St. Clairsville. An officer arrived, but reported that the deer was already out of the roadway and was deceased.
At 6:41 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy on a special detail attended a town hall meeting on West Main Street in Holloway
At 5:53 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant on a special detail was out at the Brookside Fire Department on National Road in Bridgeport attending a council meeting.
At 1:40 p.m. Tuesday, the principal at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville notified the school resource officer that a student was in possession of a nicotine vape device. The student was given a disciplinary plan and Vaping 101 Class, according to the report. The device was taken by the officer and stored for disposal.
At 8:07 a.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to Loves Travel Center on Reco Road in Morristown for a call regarding threats and harassment by a female. A male involved had a temporary protection order against the female, who was his ex-girlfriend, according to the report. An officer reported that there was no interaction between the two parties, who were advised to seek legal counseling.
At 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, an officer responded to the area of Unified Bank on Sharon Road in Colerain for a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the officer reported that there was no one in the parking lot and no one around the building.
At 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported that there was a suspicious vehicle in the roadway on Main Street in Morristown with no lights. The officer reported that the vehicle was occupied and off to the side of the road. The vehicle was overheating, according to the report, which stated that the driver had someone on the way to help.
At 9:24 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported seeing a male yelling and running up and down Orchard Drive in Colerain. Officers responded and made contact with the male, who said he was just working out and was home for the night.
At 7:53 p.m. Wednesday, a caller from Main Street in Glencoe reported that it looked like a female with a flashlight was at an abandoned house behind a location on that street. An officer patrolled the area, but did not come in contact with a suspicious person.
At 5:34 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy responded to an address on National Road in St. Clairsville for a report of a raccoon that needed to be put down. The animal was dispatched with one round, according to the officer.
At 2:01 p.m. Wednesday, several deputies responded to assist St. Clairsville Police in response to a report of a male outside of St. Clairsville High School with a gun. One male was taken into custody at 2:08 p.m. Sheriff’s units assisted in patrols of the area and scene security.
At 9:21 a.m. Wednesday, a sergeant performed a welfare check on a female that had not been seen at work since Monday. A unit from the Powhatan Point Police Department was able to respond to check an address on Neffs Street in Powhatan Point. However, they were informed that the female did not live there — she lives in Wheeling at an unknown address, according to the report.
