At 9:49 p.m. Sunday, officers responded to an address on National Road in Bridgeport for a report of a vehicle lockout with a dog inside. The vehicle was opened, and units cleared.
At 8:20 p.m. Sunday, a report was received from satellite relay indicating a distress signal from an iPhone with a pre-set GPS location. Units responded to an address on Tomlinson Run Road in Jacobsburg. Units on the scene advised that the house was no longer there. They spoke with a neighbor, who advised that all was well.
At 3:23 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that the bottom of an ATM machine at the Ohio Valley Mall appeared to be open. A sergeant responded and observed the unsecured lower door of the machine. The officer stated that it appeared that the door was not properly secured. There was no evidence of tampering or forced entry. Notification was made to Huntington Bank, and a technician was being dispatched.
At 12:32 p.m. Sunday, a caller from Whiskey Run Road in Quaker City inquired about obtaining a civil protection order against her ex-boyfriend.
At 11:42 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a car show was taking place at the Capstone Soccer Complex on Airport Road in St. Clairsville, and he requested a uniformed deputy to be present for a security detail. He was informed that if he wanted a security detail, he would have to call in advance and schedule with the sheriff’s office. Extra area patrols were offered in lieu of a security detail, but the caller declined, according to the report.
At 11:11 a.m. Sunday, a caller from Buckeye Run Road in Martins Ferry reported a dispute over the purchase of a pure-bred dog. She was informed that this was a civil matter.
At 8:26 a.m. Sunday, a caller from Pine Lake Trailer Court in Belmont reported a suspicious male hunched over in the field off of National Road. An emergency medical service squad was placed on standby. An officer was out with the male, who appeared to be up and oriented. The male denied the need for a squad. His girlfriend was notified that he was fine, and he was being given a ride home to Rice Avenue in Bethesda.
At 3:27 a.m. Sunday, an officer was on a traffic stop on Colerain Pike in Colerain of a West Virginia vehicle. The Ohio State Highway Patrol was requested at the scene. An officer gave a passenger a ride to Martins Ferry, according to the report.
At 2:17 a.m. Sunday, units were requested on the scene of a large, out-of-control fire on Provident-Fairpoint Road in St. Clairsville. Units from the St. Clairsville Police Department were assisting the Cumberland Trail Fire District. Units on the scene reported that the fire was safe, and the property owner was with it.
At 12:18 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that two people with flashlights were at the well pad on Shannon Road in Barnesville looking at equipment. The caller said he believed no one should be there. Deputies responded and reported that they were workers at the well pad who were starting up equipment for the job.
