At 10:11 p.m. Monday, units responded to an address on Church Street in Barton for a report of a female needing a mental health evaluation. She went willingly with an emergency medical service squad, according to the report.
At 10:10 p.m. Monday, an officer responded to a report of a traffic jam or blocked road on the Interstate 70 on ramp at exit 208 in Richland Township. There was a collection of semi trucks, according to the report. The semis were moved.
At 9:54 p.m. Monday, a caller reported that a man in a white truck with a black tailgate was out at the Belle Village Apartments on Patterson Hill Road in Bellaire trying to run people over. Officers responded and reported that this was a neighbor issue. No one was trying to run anyone over.
At 7:49 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on North Bridge Street in Belmont reported that her ex-boyfriend was threatening to break in and take whatever he wanted. The caller was advised to get a civil protection order or file a complaint about threats. According to the report, the male had an established residence at that location.
At 6:12 p.m. Monday, a caller from an address on Second Street in Flushing reported that her neighbor’s children have a history of playing outside and causing issues. The caller said the kids were out that day playing with paintball guns. The kids were seen cleaning paint off of the complainant’s garage, she said. The caller just wanted the incident to be on file.
At 6:44 p.m. Monday, a caller reported that her mother needed a mental evaluation. EMS responded and needed law enforcement to assist, according to the report. The individual was pink slipped, and she was transported to Trinity Hospital in St. Clairsville.
At 4:56 p.m. Monday, a sergeant was out at an address on Olde Ridge Lane Extension in St. Clairsville for a complaint about kids riding on the road with UTVs. The officer did not locate them.
At 4:38 p.m. Monday, a deputy was out at an address in Bethesda responding to a call about a 6-year-old hitting and kicking, and making threats. The child’s step mother was with him. Parents were advised, and they will be seeking an evaluation, according to the report.
At 2:39 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to an address on Judson Street in Bethesda for a report from a homeowner who on security cameras was seeing people who appeared to be damaging his vehicle.
At 12:05 p.m. Monday, the principal of the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville reported that a student approached him and stated that they overheard another student saying he had a gun. The school resource officer and principal spoke with the student and learned that he stated that he forgot his gum. Under the mandate of school safety, the student was checked with a metal detecting wand for weapons. His locker was searched. No weapons or any contraband was located, according to the report.
At 11:45 a.m. Monday, the school resource officer at the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road in St. Clairsville found a student to be in possession of a vape device. The officer took the vape device, marked it and stored it for disposal. The incident was turned over to the principal for a disciplinary plan and vape class assignment.
At 11:30 a.m. Monday, officers responded to an address on Main Street in Bridgeport for a report of a male who kicked a car in the Big Lots parking lot. The male reportedly was driving an SUV and almost side swiped the caller by the trailer park near Bridgeport High School, according to the report. Both motorists went into the Big Lots parking lot. The male got out of his vehicle and became confrontational, according to the caller, who said he called him names and kicked his car. He then got back into his vehicle and went eastbound on U.S. 40. The caller was reportedly from the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
At 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, officers responded to an address on Riggs Road in Bellaire for a report of domestic trouble. A 5-year-old was also on the scene. Officers reported that nothing physical happened, it was just a verbal argument.
At 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, an officer on a traffic stop in Interstate 70 eastbound near mile marker 225 in Bridgeport issued a warning to an Mississippi truck driver for an improper lane change.
At 5:51 p.m. Tuesday, a sergeant was out at an address in Belmont to check on the welfare of a juvenile. An emergency medical service squad was requested for a mental health evaluation.
At 4:49 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy responded to an address on North Road in Barnesville for a 911 hangup call. All was OK there, according to the report.
At 3:36 p.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Jacobsburg-Key Road reported that a round bailer had been stolen. A deputy responded and took information for a report. The complainant did not want to pursue charges if the bailer was returned, the report stated.
At 12:01 p.m. Tuesday, deputies responded to an address on Ray Ramsay Road in Jacobsburg for a report of two people in the complainant’s property trying to get into the residence. According to officers, there were no signs of anyone around. The owner gave consent to search via video camera, according to the report.
At 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, a school resource officer from the Belmont Career Center on Hammond Road requested a case number for an altercation that resulted in the arrest of a juvenile there.
At 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, an officer making a routine check at Bellaire Middle School was notified that a THC pen was seized from a student. The school requested that deputies handle it.
At 10:07 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from an address on Treadway Road in Bridgeport requested a report for identity theft. A deputy responded and took information.
At 10:13 a.m. Tuesday, a caller requested a welfare check on a cashier who appeared to be very distraught at a gas station on National Road in St. Clairsville. A deputy and a unit from the Richland Township Police Department responded. According to the officers, she was OK.
At 8:21 a.m. Tuesday, a caller from the Comfort Inn on National Road in St. Clairsville reported that her clerk found the booking desk in disarray with things thrown about. A check of the cameras showed a guest messing with things while the desk was unattended. Nothing was reported stolen at the time of the call. The guest was not identified, and an officer took information as a call record only.
At 8 a.m. Tuesday, the principal at the Belmont Career Center reported a student was found to be in possession of a vape device. The school resource officer took the device, marked it and stored it for disposal. The student was given a disciplinary plan by the principal. There were no charges filed at this time, the report stated.
