At 6:34 p.m. Sunday, an officer on a traffic stop on the Interstate 70 east off ramp at exit 218 in Richland Township issued a warning to a Pennsylvania truck driver for speeding.

At 6:21 p.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a vehicle was sitting in front of Walmart with two males inside talking and blocking the road for roughly 10 minutes. Deputies responded, but the vehicle left before officers arrived.

At 6:10 p.m. Sunday, an officer on a traffic stop on Interstate 70 west near mile post 212 in St. Clairsville issued a warning to a Maryland truck driver for driving with no headlights.

At 6:04 p.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Muskrat Road in Barnesville reported that she heard kids crying. She also stated that people were in gas chambers around her house. Deputies responded, and the caller’s husband advised that she was off her medication. A daughter came and took care of the female. The call was listed as a mental issue.

At 2:52 p.m. Sunday, a call was received from an unknown female screaming about getting punched or about punching someone. The call reportedly came from behind Gabe’s on Banfield Road in St. Clairsville. Deputies responded. Officers patrolled the area but did not make contact with the caller. The nature of the incident was listed in the report as domestic trouble.

At 3:35 p.m. Sunday, a caller from the Hill Top Sunoco on National Road in St. Clairsville reported that her boyfriend kicked her out of the car and she needed a ride. Deputies responded, and the boyfriend was still on the scene. No threats were made, and both parties made up, according to the officers. The female wanted a ride back home from her boyfriend, and all was well.

At 10:01 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a suspicious male came into Marshalls at the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville and started having an inappropriate conversation with an underaged female associate the previous evening. The store was advised to call authorities if he came in again and needed to be removed.

At 8:10 a.m. Sunday, a caller from an address on Mt. Victory Road in Powhatan Point reported that a female was screaming at the house across the street. Deputies responded and attempted to make contact but did not locate the female.

At 8:32 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to an address on Rock Mount Road in Bellaire on a welfare check. An emergency medical service squad also responded.

At 4:20 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a female friend was staying at the house across the street on Mt. Victory Road in Powhatan Point and he heard a woman yell. A sergeant responded but did not come in contact with anyone. The sound of music could be heard, but no signs of distress or a struggle were visible from the windows. There was no history of incidents at the address, and the sergeant cleared.

At 8:53 p.m. Monday, a foster parent called to report her 14-year-old child missing. Officers responded to an address on Sharon Road in Colerain. The juvenile returned home, and information was taken for a report.

At 7:03 p.m. Monday, a 911 call was received from an address on Sunset Heights in Bridgeport with a male and female yelling on the line. Officers responded and reported no threats were made and nothing physical happened. Both parties refused to leave for the night.

At 4:18 p.m. Monday, officers assisted an emergency medical service squad for a possibly combative male patient with possible mental issues at an address on Lafferty Road. The male was taken to the hospital by his wife, according to the report.

At 3:28 p.m. Monday, a sergeant was out at Barton Road in Colerain trying on behalf of the Cambridge Police Department to make contact with the owner of a truck that hit a fire hydrant in their area.

At 2:27 p.m. Monday, a caller from Otto Road in Jacobsburg reported that she received a call from someone claiming to be from Chase Bank inquiring about a transfer of her money from her savings account to her checking account. The complainant hung up and called Chase Banke, which advised her that this was a scam. Although the caller said she never gave information to the suspicious male caller, she subsequently was notified via message from Chase Bank that her account was below $50. She called the bank and was informed that $3,200 was removed from her checking account. She was told by the bank to contact the FBI and to report this. A sergeant gave her information to report the information to the Federal Trade Commission. The complainant was also going to the local branch of her bank to speak with a manager about this issue in person.

At 12:18 p.m. Monday, a sergeant along with units from the Richland Township Police Department were out at the Days Inn West on Holiday Drive in St. Clairsville for a report of a male subject refusing to leave the premises – a room that was rented by a female. The male and female reportedly had an incident there on the previous night. At 12:33 p.m., the officer said a male had a ride and was gathering his belongings.

At 11:56 a.m. Monday, a deputy was out at Union Local High School on Belmont-Morristown Road to get a statement about harassment.

At 9:26 a.m. Monday, a complainant came to the station to speak with a deputy about reporting a stolen firearm. This stemmed from a family matter in the wake of his wife’s death around 25 years ago, according to the report. After hearing an explanation about the situation, a corporal advised the complainant to hire an attorney and to send a letter to his late wife’s daughter in Bethesda requesting that the firearm be returned. The complainant was unhappy about this suggestion and left the sheriff’s office.

At 7:57 a.m. Monday, a caller reported a domestic situation on Mt. Victory Road in Powhatan Point. The complainant also indicated that they had a recording of this. A deputy responded. A female reportedly had a confirmed warrant. Randalynn Delores Doty was arrested and booked into the Belmont County Jail on charges of failure to appear/domestic violence, according to the report. A video did not show any signs of violence, the report stated, noting that both parties involved denied that an argument had happened.

At 1:59 a.m. Monday, an officer from the West Deer Township Police Department in Pennsylvania wanted a welfare check done on a female that they tracked to Belmont County. Contact with the female was made at Staples in St. Clairsville. The female refused medical attention.
